U.S. Martial Arms Collector Magazine

(More updates will be forthcoming as this is still in development.)
First released by Franklin B. Mallory on December 7th, 1976, as a supplement to his first book, D.C.M. Rifle Sales 1922-1942, it gradually evolved into a quarterly newsletter and, finally, into the magazine “U.S. Martial Arms Collector Magazine.”

It ran for 178 issues, with its final publication released in April 2024. Operations abruptly stopped, to the disappointment of many devoted collectors and supporters of the Springfield Research Service.

That has now changed.

Archival Research Group has taken ownership of the Springfield Research Service as well as U.S. Arms Collector Magazine, and we’re bringing  the magazine back.

It will be a quarterly magazine in digital format. Its structure will be very similar to when Franklin Mallory ran it and will mostly be composed of:
  • Researcher Updates/News:
  • Bullet points of data found in the archives.
  • Documents of note.
  • Short articles.
  • Documented firearms
  • Serial numbers being added to the SRS.
  • List of firearms lettered during the previous quarter.
  • Advertisements and Classifieds.
The most important part is that if you’re a current subscriber, nothing will change. This will be yet another added service as our way of saying thank you for supporting us. Hopefully you will find it enjoyable and informative. We have a professional editor to make sure this runs smoothly and professionally.
